Take The Ouch Out Of Combing Your Little One's Hair!
So this week I am focusing on helpful products to make the comb out process on your little one's hair a tad less painful. I tend to rotate products I use on my daughters hair based on what her hair is telling me it needs. Another great tool in fighting the tangles and or KNOTS is Silk Elements ~ Silken Child Leave-In Detangler. It is a spray in liquid that I usually saturate into her hair after washing. It is used to add moisture and conditioning to avoid breaking the hair off while attacking those stubborn tangled areas. You can also combine this with other products to create the perfect 1-2 punch on tangles. It comes in a 8 Fl. Oz spray bottle and retails for about $3.99 to $4.99 depending on where you shop.

Does Your Little One's Hair Need A Little Boost?
As a mom of a 5 yr old with THICK dry hair..yes she inherited my dry hair, I have been on the hunt for products that help me HELP her precious little head of hair stay healthy and hydrated. And may I say it has been arduous to say the least. Well after spending a lot of ca$h, I have found a few that I can count on that seem to assist me in my battle. I fell hard for Soft & Precious Detangling Moisturizer. I was able to finally release her from the braided hair style she had been sporting since she was 2 (she was also excited). It adds a light sheen too without a residue build up. This product is good for infants as well. It is never too late to start the process of keeping your child's hair healthy, girl or boy. Now admittedly this product ..for me anyway was not easy to find. I happened upon in in of all places a Ralph's Grocery store, the cutie pie on the bottle caught my eye. So knowing this I am going to include this link http://www.softandprecious.com to the Manufacturer's Website, because I visited multiple drug stores in my area of Southern California and was not able to locate it. And YES I did go back to Ralph's but this products does not stay on the shelves at my local market. I did find it at a Professional Beauty Supply for $3.99 (Ralph's was $6.99 ..go figure) It comes in a 16Fl. Oz bottle. And YES I did stock up once I found it for a lesser price. They also offer other products all for our little ones.
Shampoos That Hydrate Make A Difference
Okay..so as you have probably figured out by now I am completely obsessed with products that provides MOISTURE and CONDITIONING. I myself suffer from dry hair, face, nails etc.. and yes I know adding more H2O to my diet will help but... anyhoo. One of my go to products for shampooing and being able to skip the separate conditioning step is Cream Of Nature ~ Kiwi & Citrus Ultra Moisturizing Shampoo (For Dry Brittle Hair) Not only does it smell AMAZING! It leaves hair cuticles soft & smooth & silky. After performing a process of either relaxing and or color I use this to get my hair back on track. We all know (or should) that any type of coloring, cellophane, relaxing or texturing dries out the hair shaft and your hair needs a little help to prevent additional drying, that leads to what? We should all know this too, BREAKAGE! So even if you have a favorite shampoo or conditioning shampoo, changing products here & there keeps our hair on it's toes..or should I say follicles. And this is a great addition to that regimen.

Add More Elasticity To Your Hair By Adding Moisture
Spring and Summer are fast approaching and with Winter still lingering we probably all need to add a little moisture to our hair to keep it healthy. I have been a fan of the
Infusium 23 brand of products for some time. But this is not your old Infusium 23, they have launched a whole new line of products that cover a larger spectrum of hair troubles, Frizz, Moisture, Repair etc.. My favorite of all is the Infusium 23 (moistur)ologie -Step 3. You can use this for straight or curly hair, it increases elasticity to the hair and prevents breakage for wet or dry styles. Looking for something to help restore your hair to a healthier bounce? This can do the trick! It retails for $6.99 and up for a 16 Fl. Oz. bottle.

Need Something To Make Flat Ironing A Breeze?
Okay so flat ironing can be a tedious process to say the least….well for some of us that have very thick hair. I personally skip the blow drying process all together, I allow my hair to dry naturally then I flat iron. I find that it keeps the hair from becoming too dry & brittle. Now are you ready for something to help you get that healthy, glossy sheen just like when you leave the salon? Try Soft & Beautiful Ultimate Style Protect Hair Gloss! It is gentle enough for everyday use and it protects and detangles hair before you use a blow dryer, flat iron or curling iron. Now they consider this a spray product, yet I would call it a serum. It has a thick, slick texture that I just rub in while my hair is still damp and comb through, with focus especially on the ends. Let hair dry or blow dry if that is your regimen, either way once you flat iron you will immediately see the difference. I also use it as part of my daily hair grooming for wet or dry styles. Priced at $5.99 and up (depending on where you shop) for a 4.25 Fl. Oz. bottle.
Need Help Taming Those Over Processed Or Dried Out Edges?
Here is a find I am really excited about! Dark and Lovely’s Beautiful Beginnings(Kids Line) Edge Tamer + Protector. This emollient gel lays down flyaway hair and improves hair line fullness. I have used this for the last few weeks for me and my daughter’s hair. As a busy Kindergartener her hair tends to be a bit disheveled by the end of her school day. And this product has helped keep it in place. For me, my edges were a bit over processed and dried out from relaxing and using other drying gels (I will not mention any names….yet) that I was using to control them and make my hair lie flat around the edges. Well after using this, I was sold! It works on those stubborn areas around the hair line to give you the control you want for a sleek hair style, it is non-greasy to boot. It retails for $3.99-$4.99 for a 3.5 oz tube.

Great Winter/Fall Facial Moisturizer
Okay let me start by saying I love great facial products, but I am on the frugal side when it comes to how much I will pay for a product. I have used this product for a few months now & LOVE IT! It is Neutrogena’s Visibly Even Daily Moisturizer w/ SPF 30 and it is Hydroquinine free (a product used in most products that claim to lighten dark spots) . What I love about it is the richness of the texture with out that oily afterglow some moisturizers give you that causes too much shine even after applying make up. I found with other products you have to powder more often when the product leaves too much of a shine. This product adheres to the skin well. I noticed that the discolorations I have are diminishing after 1 month of usage. It retails for about $9.00-$11. (depending on where you shop) for a 1/7 fluid oz tube . Oh and might I mention that the tube is the same size of the box..you know how some beauty products come in a box the size of your hand, and then you open it & the tube is the size of your pinky finger? This is not one of those either.
Product of the Month
Do you have dry flaky skin? Or just dry skin in general or you just want soft supple skin? Well I have found an amazing product for winter, spring, summer or fall. It is the Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula w/Vitamin E for Dry Ashy skin! What is Ashy you ask it is a terminology used to describe overly dry skin that is so dry it is dull and has a white (ash) coloring. This lotion is so luxurious without leaving a residue of stickiness left on your skin. It is great for summer due to its ability to absorb deep into the skin, I used it daily in the summer as an avid swimmer and noticed the suppleness of my skin even after swimming in chlorinated water for more than 2 hours!! It also has Shea Butter, Alpha/Beta Hydroxy that removes dry skin cells to renew your skin to make it look younger& more taunt. Affordability is great too, it retails for about $5.00 (depending on where you buy) for 13.5 fluid ounces.
