Welcome to my Blog!

Here you will find weekly reviews for a variety of great products for hair, skin and nails that I have found and tested.  I started this Blog due to the need to share this information about frequently used products that many women need or are looking for.  Since I consider myself a Certified Product Tester, I thought it would be great to have a place to share my opinions and experiences with various products to help other consumers like myself that continuously purchase products only to find their claims are just that..... claims!
I think you will find the reviewed products here are useful and needed in daily grooming as well as a need to treat ourselves to some needed Luxuries here and there, without breaking your bank.  I do not know about you, but the state of the current economy has sent me on the hunt for things I can do for myself at home that can keep my face, hair and nails polished, healthy and gleaming as well as any other areas we tend to focus on  for grooming.    I consider myself a Consumer Connoisseur due to my  extensive purchase and use history.  I have a passion for great products that give me the ability to keep my hair, nails and skin healthy, I also have a passion to share this information with others and needed an outlet .  So Log In,  Become a Member,  Read,  Share and ENJOY!

Keep Your Hair Shiney & New!

Since I wrote about the the great ease of curly carefree summer hair in my last post.  I wanted to continue with a product that will put the finishing touches on the curly or straight look!  Sometimes we need a little extra boost of sheen in the summer to protect our hair from drying out.  I found a product by one of my favorites Cantu-Shea Butter-Oil Sheen Spray. Spray a little on the hands and rub on to straight or curly hair for added shine.  It retails for about $4.00 for 9.5 fl. oz. can.

Hair Feeling More Like Hay These Days?

This Global Warming (yes it is real) is causing my poor hair to have split personalities and split ends!  So I decided to go way back to the roller set..um hum but updated with hair noodles.  Heard of those?  You can find then at many beauty supplies and some grocery stores carry them as well. You can buy them in different sizes like a curling and they are color coded for each size.  I also went back to a product my mom used back in the day LottaBody Setting Lotion!  Turns out it gave my hair a needed break from the flat iron and the leave- ins (conditioners).  You can use the lotion on dry or wet hair & wrap the hair around the noodles, let dry & shake and finger curls loose!  And what could be more fun for a dry or sticky humid summer than Carefree CURLS! Setting lotion retails for about $4.00 for an 8 fl. oz. bottle (use in a spray bottle for even distribution),  The hair curlers/rollers can be a little pricey, you get 10 in a pack for about $8.00 a pack.

Add A Little Shine To Dull Dry Hair

Having trouble with fly a ways?  You know what those are right?  Those few follicles of hair that stick out when you are trying to wear a smooth style, or the follicles that go their OWN way no matter how many times you comb them in the direction of the style you are trying to pull off.  Those are fly a ways.   So since you have now been given the name of those rogue hairs do you want to know what to do about them?  I thought so!  Use a little spray polisher on them like the
Smooth N Shine Instant Repair Hair Polisher Spritz. It is a great tool to get your hair shiny & behaving.  It also has added benefits like eliminating frizzies, conditioning dry damaged hair, prevents breakage and it is designed for all hair types. It leaves your hair feeling smooth and straight and looking shiny and healthy. It retails for $4.97 for a 5 Oz spray bottle.

Spotlight Product Of The Month

So Summer is not quite here yet but..so what!  Let's get a jump, isn't that how they do it in the Fashion Industry?   My Spotlight Product Of The Month Is..........Ion  Swimmer's Anti-Chlorine Leave In Conditioner I know ....I know you say Anti Chlorine..Swimmer's?  What if I am not a swimmer, and I say SO WHAT!!  You see this product not only battles and counteracts the harmful chemicals found in chlorinated spa or swimming pool water (chlorine, bromine) that ravages the hair, but also hard water build up which contains (copper, calcium, and magnesium) which most households have unless you have a water softening system installed in your home. It also combats the damage done to hair from sun & sand and prevents lighter or blond hair from turning green. It leaves the hair soft, manageable (great for detangling) and full of shine and I know you can tell by now I am impressed by products that return hair to a healthy, livelier state.  It comes in an 8 Fl. Oz pump spray bottle & Retails for $6.99 and up and can be found at Sally Beauty Supply.  They also have a great shampoo & conditioner for swimmers.

Get Your Hair Through Winter With A Leave-In Conditioner

So recently I received a request in the comment section for a Leave-In Conditioner for Adults.  Although this product can also be used on the little one's hair too.  And since I did focus on the little one's hair products for a few posts...it is now time to get back to us Adults that need a little extra help getting our hair through this Winter and it's drying effects.  Do not get me wrong this product is great for any season, my hair tends to dry out more through the Winter months.  And my pick is Motions Nourish ~ Leave-In Conditioner this spray provides extra conditioning to keep your hair looking healthy & soft.  Also it strengthens and fortifies the hair with Silicone & Keratin Proteins to lock in the moisture that provides shine and manageability  with Vitamin E & Pro Vitamin B5.  This can be used on wet or dry styles, apply before blow drying to protect from the damaging effects.  Make sure to section hair & apply throughout.  It comes  in a 12 Fl. Oz. bottle, price ranging from $3.99 and up depending on where you shop.
